EXCUSING LIFE:

Aikido practice is NOT entertainment as much as we like to think of it as such. This is not the correct way to approach Aikido practice. Aikido is always a Way of Life. In Aikido, to find the true joy of Life is the true entertainment of Life. Please try to understand this in your practice.

Sometimes, students make excuses for not practicing - of course, this is human nature and everyone does this at one time or another. However, some people get carried away with this and begin to make excuses for everything in their lives. When your life become one big excuse, or when you use your excuses to run away from everything, then you know that something is very wrong with your Life and your thinking.

Miyamoto Musashi made 13 rules of living his life. One of his rules was, "I will not have any regrets in Life." "No regrets" means to meet life head on and to live life fully to the peak. Excuses in life is the seed to creating a mountain of regrets for yourself.

Please think about this and try to understand this meaning.
