The Way of Aiki is the Way of Humanity. In this respect, the first order of practice is the practice of etiquette and manners in order to get along with and appreciate the other person.

Most people take too much for granted in practice or make hasty, incomplete assumptions. There are no assumptions or conclusions in Aikido, because everything, to the very finest point, is verified thoroughly in practice. Without this appreciation, one cannot say they understand the meaning of practice.
