When you are here, be here.

"The concept of always being reachable makes us present nowhere." - Peter Arvai

This quote is quite apropos for the martial arts of today.  The minute our cellphones come out we are not here, but everywhere.  I find it interesting when people "check-in," post videos or picture of themselves at the dojo or anything else social media-like.  When we are doing this, we are not "there."  For the 70ish minutes we are at the dojo, let's be there and only there.  That way we can truly have ichinen or single-mindedness which exists in very few places today and an opportunity to develop ourselves.
