For decades we have been fortunate to train in a handcrafted dojo built under the direction of Reverend Kensho Furuya, known fondly by his students as "Sensei," and in the style of a 16th century samurai mansion. As we approached the need to relocate, Furuya Sensei sought a new space which had the potential to be imbued with the spirit, presence and beauty of the residence and school he had built over a span of over thirty years.

Develop into a very strong practitioner.
“The people who come here (teachers and students) have created a place where goodwill and camaraderie abound. They train seriously, but never maliciously. ”

Truly a Gem!
“Truly a gem for many different reasons in the world of martial arts. They will build your spirit and make you a better person along with teaching you anything and everything you want to know about Aikido. Most complete school outside of Japan.”

Iaido is top notch here.
“Furuya sensei was the best Iaido sensei in the United States. Very traditional training. The instructors are very good and patient. The Iaido class is for adults. They do have excellent aikido classes for children."

Awesome Lessons
“I could not ask for a better place to train. I thought I knew what Aikido was for years without ever stepping foot on the mat. There is no way you could ever understand what it's like to train here until you've experienced it for yourself. This place is so much more than just learning Aikido techniques. It is a source of knowledge, both spiritual and physical, using Aikido training as the driving force to teach those lessons.”
